This is the worst fire in San Diego history.
Worse than the Cedar Firestorm of 2003.
Blazes have scorched more than 100,000 acres as 250,000 households are told to flee……
Mira Mesa, where we live, is about 7 miles from the nearest area being evacuated and the order to evacuate could come at any time.
The air is thick with smoke and ash, giving the sun an eerie orangish glow during the day making breathing difficult and burning the eyes.
Smoke from the fires can be seen from outer space.
If/when the order to evacuate comes, we plan to just go live on the boat for a couple days…….after that, we’re not sure.
